Had an awesome time doing these engagement pictures in Spartanburg SC. The weather was perfect, and the session was very much personalized with all the neat props this couple brought to represent their relationship. They literally brought a box of things to choose from, it was so much fun! We started out at this street sign, as it was extremely fitting for the future “Mr. & Mrs. Dean”.

…future Mr. & Mrs. Dean

Love Jillian’s curls coming over her shoulder, so pretty…

Another very cute prop they brought…

They were having fun, and it showed!

LOVE this door, we could have spent way too much time here, it was just so cool.

Thank you Renee of Renee Burroughs Design, (www.reneeburroughsdesign.com) for letting us borrow your crates!

They brought some of their favorite games to play together, James MADE the big board, isn’t it cool?

We loved her bright fun colored shoes!

James and Jillian both journal on a regular basis, so we thought this would be a fun shot to reflect that.
Congratulations guys! We are so excited about your wedding next month!
Brittany and Mike’s engagement pictures took place on an absolutely perfect morning at Furman University. They brought their adorable little doggie too, soooo cute! We had such a great time getting to know them more. Super sweet couple!

Aren’t they a great looking pair? We think so!

LOVE these pink blossoms.

Wow, her eyes really pop…looks great!

So cute and fun!
Wow! Kayla looked stunning during her bridal portrait session at The Acanthus (www.theacanthus.com), where her wedding will be held next month. We had a great time, and can’t wait to share her images!!!

…smashing the cake!
The month of February is a special time for these wedding photographers. With the busyness of the fall wedding season, followed by the holidays, and then participating in 3 bridal shows after the first of the year, February is a month like no other. It’s not Spring yet, or wedding season, so we get to work on things in the business we don’t usually have time to work on, get more organized, get inspired for the year ahead…and enjoy some extra family time.
We had a great Valentine’s Day yesterday, my husband and I got to enjoy a quiet afternoon out to lunch and a movie. We ate all the chocolate we could handle, and savored every second together. We work together every day, but it’s definitely not the same as being on a “date”.
Today, we used the gift certificates we were given over Christmas to take the kids to the Children’s Museum in Greenville, SC. Wow, what a cool place! We all loved it. I have to admit, it was really fun playing “store” in the Bi Lo section, pushing around tiny kid carts, and taking turns with my 5 year old to “check-out” the items on the computer scanner. I couldn’t help but smile watching what our kids would pick out to buy. So cute.
We will soon, with the coming of warm weather, will be back to our busy shooting schedule. Watch for our spring portrait special. Easter comes later this year, so you’ll have more time to get your sessions done!

We had such a great time once again at the Wedding Festivals Carolina First show this past Saturday. Something really cool happened too! We met a girl named Season…just like the name of our business. Not only that, we found out she had a brother named Brandon! Same as my husband. What are the odds of that?! I have to say, Season is a realllllly cool name. Love it.
Some asked how we came to be Seasons Photography….here’s how:

We had been praying that God would help us to come up with the new name. One evening about two and a half years ago, we were out on a date, and my husband and I were talking over dinner. We were reflecting on how awesome our job is. Since many of our photo shoots would continue through the years with our clients, we found ourselves weaving in and out of their most special times in life. From being a senior in high school, to becoming engaged, to doing the bridal portraits and on to the wedding. Next, we’d hear a baby was coming, so of course we had to do maternity, and then the newborn pictures shortly after its arrival.
After this reflection of the special opportunity we had to be part of the biggest moments of our clients’ lives, I commented how life is really just a bunch of seasons. That’s it! We should be Seasons Photography, capturing life’s greatest seasons!
And so here we are…Seasons Photography.
I know this is really probably too many images to post to a blog, but I just couldn’t help but share them! Stacey and Jarad were married at the Duncan Estate in Spartanburg…it was GREAT! On a humorous note, this is the first wedding ever in the 10 years we’ve shot weddings that the bride called to see if we could pick her up because she needed a ride to her wedding.
Of course, we said yes! If only we had taken a shot of her waiting in the parking lot of Pete’s with her hair and make-up done, veil on! There was no mistaking she was a bride in a parking lot…hee, hee. It was awesome. Stacey probably has one of the prettiest smiles, making it oh so fun to photograph her.

…we started the morning at the To Dye For salon

…and finished at the Duncan Estate!

Loved this angle!

This is our favorite tree at Duncan! Don’t you love it’s big arms?

Love the vintage look in an old estate…

Had to get a candid of Stacey laughing, she seems to always have a smile on her face!

Sweet father and son moment…

Entering as a “miss” and…..

….leaving as a “mrs.”!
